I was brought on to create the title card for a local Kansas City short film that won a grant from the Independent Filmmaker's Coalition of Kansas City. The director and I talked and the goal was a CYMK look that encompassed the feeling evoked from the photography of their lead actor.
This created a serif-based title card, something both tough and soft at the same time. Typically, "tired" would feel softer than "hurting," but I wanted to experiment with the opposite, and ultimately loved the outcome. This became the base of the film through a variety of marketing materials and the website.
