Voices of North Georgia is a nonprofit community chorus based in Gainesville, Georgia. Over the course of five years, I served as their lead graphic designer and design consultant, developing cohesive visual branding for each concert season, including a new logo and brand identity.
My work included creating posters, tickets, programs, postcards, and other promotional materials for both print and digital platforms (primarily their website). I collaborated closely with the chorus’s board to ensure each design reflected the unique tone and musical theme of every performance, helping to elevate audience engagement and strengthen the organization's public identity in the North Georgia area.
When coming up with a new logo for Voices, I presented multiple application design ideas to the nonprofit's board. The design on the left showed "Voices" as a variety of musical characters, and the designs to the right showed the initials with the lines of a music staff through the letters.
They loved the idea of the music staff - so I went with that and created 5 lines representing the Appalachian Mountains in North Georgia for their logo, in the colors blue and purple, directly correlating with the colors of the mountain range. Hence, the "Blue Ridge" mountains.
